Martha could use a makeover. Shares of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia sank another 6%--burdened by poor ratings for her version of The Apprentice on NBC, and despite the company's claims that new daily syndicated talk show Martha is boosting sales. The latest drop brings the loss for the month to more than 20%.
Polo Ralph Lauren's appeal to investors makes it a real classic. Its shares just keep on rising as the firm continues to grow profits, in part by buying back licenses and ditching underperforming stores. The stock price has gained nearly 40% in the past year, rising 2% last week alone.
