Byline: from staff reports and bloomberg news reports SL Green Realty Corp. agreed to buy rival real estate investment trust Reckson Associates Realty Corp. for $6 billion, including the assumption of $2 billion of debt. SL Green, which owns 29 office buildings, will gain 28.1 million square feet of office space, most of which will be in New York City.
In a related deal, SL Green will sell certain Reckson assets for $2.1 billion to an investment group led by Reckson executives and Marathon Asset Management. LMDC president goes to Newark lower manhattan Development Corp. President Stefan Pryor resigned to become the deputy mayor for economic development under Newark Mayor Cory Booker.
