Bridal designer commits to SoHo; Junko Yoshioka is wedded to bigger retail space on B'way.(Real Estate)

Byline: Julie Satow Asoho bridal atelier is moving down the block and tripling the size of its retail space. Junko Yoshioka, which creates hand-sewn couture bridal dresses and evening gowns, has signed a seven-year lease for 3,000 square feet at 580 Broadway, between Prince and Houston streets.
The asking rent at the building is between $40 and $48 a square foot. Junko Yoshioka, which sells to Saks Fifth Avenue and 18 bridal salons in the United States and Japan, is relocating from 1,000 square feet at 154 Spring St., at West Broadway. "We wanted to stay in the neighborhood because it fits our personality,'' says Chief Operating Officer David Gomez, who calls the company's designs "organic and elegant--not your typical ball gowns.''
