To meet EU approval requirements for its acquisition of ICI, Akzo Nobel is divesting its UK-based Crown Paints business to independent UK private equity house Endless. The deal includes production facilities in Darwen, Warrington, Hull, Belfast and Dublin in Ireland together with 100 Crown decorating retail centres.
