GE has also acquired full control of its GE Plastics Japan (GEPJ) joint venture with Mitsui Chemicals and Nagase through the acquisition of their equity interests, although Nagase will continue to serve GE Plastics Japan customers in China, and also 58% of the GEM PC joint venture with Mitsui and Nagase by acquiring Nagase's holding.

GEM PC will continue to produce Lexan resins as a joint venture until 31 March 2008 when it will cease operations and be liquidated. Lexan supplies will continue from GE's other production locations.
