Targacept, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, a central nervous system-focused biopharmaceuticals company, has announced the addition of Errol De Souza to its board of directors. De Souza is currently president and CEO of Archemix, a biopharmaceutical company developing aptamer therapeutics, Before joining Archemix, De Souza was president and CEO of Synaptic Pharmaceutical.
He also worked at Aventis, Neurocrine Biosciences and DuPont Merck Pharmaceutical.
