French-based industrial gases firm Air Liquide has acquired the German engineering company Lurgi from Global Engineering Alliance for 550m [euro]

French-based industrial gases firm Air Liquide has acquired the German engineering company Lurgi (Frankfurt) from Global Engineering Alliance for 550m [euro]. The acquisition will strength Air Liquide's position in hydrogen and give it access to the coal-to-liquids and coal-to-chemicals sector.
