Shape, Anacomp enter five-year partnership

FITCHBURG, MASS. -- Shape Global Technology Inc. of Fitchburg and Anacomp Inc. of Poway, Calif., have reached a five-year agreement that Shape exclusively will supply plastic components for Anacomp's nine-track computer tapes. Also announced June 24, the companies will develop new magnetic or optical media products, including a current project involving high-capacity data cartridges.
Shape uses plastic molding, assembly packaging and distribution processes to make optical and tape products for the electronic media, data-storage and computer industries. Anacomp provides systems, services and supplies for transferring computer output to microfilm and offers compact disc and other digital storage and delivery products.
