Alpha integrating a recent acquisition.

Alpha Enterprises Inc. has acquired Mercury Foam Inc. in a vertical consolidation of plastics processes for media packaging. Mercury employs about 400 at facilities in South Hackensack, N.J., and Camarillo, Calif., that manufacture vacuum formed vinyl video packaging for movie studios. Alpha's existing locations in Tucson, Ariz., and Canton, Ohio, employ about 700 and injection mold polypropylene packaging for video, audio, compact-disc and digital-versatile-disc products.
