HEYWOOD WILLIAMS ACQUIRING RUGBY'S BCE.

PVC windows and construction products molder Heywood Williams Group plc is on the takeover trail again in a bid to strengthen its core United Kingdom windows and doors business. The Huddersfield, England, company has invested [pound]10.5 million ($17 million) in cash to purchase Rugby Group plc's PVC foam building products unit, BCE Cellular Extrusions Ltd.

Beyond that, Heywood said it is seeking other potential acquisitions that will add value to its operations. The company still has an investment war chest of about [pound]40 million ($65 million).
