PMP opening Mo. plant.(News)(Brief Article)

Canadian automotive supplier Progressive Moulded Products Ltd. is continuing its growth in the United States, with an injection molding operation in St. Joseph, Mo., set to open next year. The Concord company will set up operations in an existing, 72,000-square-foot facility. PMP officials did not release details about equipment.
The company opened its first U.S. plant in McAllen, Texas, in 2001, and has other facilities in the Toronto area. PMP molds a variety of components for automakers. Earlier this year, it won recognition as one of General Motors Corp.'s suppliers of the year. The facility will be the first automotive supplier in St. Joseph, according to the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce, and will employ as many as 200. The city is near two auto...
