Plastics News, July, 2004

Recycler Sun Valley Worldwide Inc. and Sigma Stretch Film Corp. have formed a partnership to recycle stretch wrap. The program will let Sun Valley purchase reclaimed linear low density polyethylene material from Sigma customers at market rates, while Lyndhurst, N.J.-based Sigma will market the effort and work to develop recycling programs for its customers.

The program is slated to start in August. The goal is to recycle 25 million pounds a year, said Danny Schrager, president of Sun Valley in Delray Beach. Sun Valley may provide balers in some cases, he said. The material will be recycled at Sun Valley's plant in Morristown, Tenn., and sold into the construction, automotive, agricultural and consumer goods industries.
