Byline: Katherine Peavy Beijing Olympics stadium architects are exploiting the flexural strength and design flexibility of polycarbonate sheet to help produce sophisticated, modern structures for three of the 2008 Summer Games sites. The Shenyang Olympic Sports Center Stadium, Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium and Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center will feature roofs made with Bayer MaterialScience AG's Makrolon-brand PC sheeting.
Bayer MaterialScience supplied the sheets through subsidiary Bayer Guangyi Panel Co. Ltd. of Beijing, which manufactures them and provides sales and technical services to clients.
