A high-impact polyurethane for building prototype parts has been developed by Vantico, a division of Ren Shape Tooling Systems, East Lansing, Mich. In the past, prototypes cast from conventional polyurethanes were fragile and did not exhibit the production quality detail needed for intricate ribbed sections.
