Complex polymer structures have been built by a technique that involves directing moist air across a polymer material dissolved in a fast-evaporating solvent, report researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta. The finished structure consists of interconnected spherical air bubbles arranged in a tightly packed hexagonal pattern.
