Controlled Deposition-Welding (CD-W) is a process introduced by EPRI and Euroweld Ltd., that permits layer-by-layer control over weld composition. High-deposition submerged arc (SAW) or electroslag (ESW) welding enable tailoring the composition of a component to meet specific service conditions.
