BioMEMS, or biomedical micro-electromechanical systems, are microscopic medical devices that have the potential to deliver medicine directly to tumors or other sites of disease. However, joining such devices without clogging the tiny channels has presented a challenge. Researchers at Ohio State University, Columbus, funded by NASA Ames Research Center, have developed a process called resin gas assisted bonding to solve this problem.
