World's most fuel-efficient five-passenger car is a Honda. (Automotive).

American Honda Motor Co. recently unveiled its new gas-electric Civic Hybrid, claiming it to be the most fuel-efficient five-passenger sedan ever sold in the world. The Civic Hybrid uses a small gasoline engine coupled with an electric motor to provide fuel economy and performance. EPA fuel economy figures, when available, are expected to come in at about 50 miles per gallon for both city and highway driving.
