Advanced auto steels protect better with no cost increase. (Metals).

Wider application at new grades of Advanced High Strength Steels (AHSS) would provide higher levels of crash safety with no increase in cost, according to a report from the American Iron and Steel Institute. AHSS steels have a superior combination of high strength, crash energy management, excellent formability, and dent resistance.
