Saturn's 2003 ION cars will introduce unprecedented personalization opportunities and premium features new to the small-car market when they reach showrooms in the fourth quarter. The two ION models, a four-door sedan and the "quad coupe" -- so-called because of its dual rear-access doors, are completely new from the ground up.
The quad coupe's rear access doors represent an industry first, resulting in the creation of a new category of vehicle and a new, more functional small car. The access doors make it easy to load and unload cargo, including larger objects that typically wouldn't fit in a traditional compact car.
