Bicycle frame made of extruded and welded magnesium A bicycle frame made of extruded magnesium has been manufactured by Merida Industry Co., Taiwan, R.O.C. In addition to light weight, magnesium's lower modulus of elasticity allows the frame to flex more than other materials, resulting in a more shock-resistant frame that provides a smoother ride.
