Terry Langdon, FASM, has been elected as a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, the British equivalent of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE). He is a professor of aerospace, mechanical engineering and materials science for the University of Southern California School of Engineering.

Langdon has a bachelor's degree in physics with pure and applied mathematics from the University of Bristol and a Ph.D. in physical metallurgy from Imperial College at the University of London. He was awarded a D.Sc. in physics from the University of Bristol for his published research on the physics of metals.
