A technology that allows engineers to refine the cooling process within heat treatment cycles for aerospace forgings has reportedly been developed by Ladish Co., Cudahy, Wis. Called SuperCooler, the technology is said to allow engineers to design components with a better balance of mechanical properties and reduced residual stresses.
