A self-healing, three-layer system based on polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) has been developed as a metal coating by Ticona, Summit, N.J.; the U.S. Dept. of Energy Brookhaven National Laboratory, Upton, N.Y.; and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Golden, Cob., in conjunction with Bob Curran and Sons, Dickinson, Texas.
