The Georgia Institute of Technology has named Robert L. Snyder, FASM, professor and chair of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University, as the chair of Georgia Tech's School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE). Since 1996, Snyder has chaired Ohio State's MSE Department, which was ranked 15 in the nation in the U.S.
