A range of advanced welding and joining technologies that will enable military vehicles to be made of composites, aluminum, and titanium are to be developed at the Edison Welding Institute, Columbus, Ohio, in collaboration with the Army Research Laboratory, Aberdeen, Md. EWI has signed a five-year, $22 million contract with the U.S.
