A clearcoat technology that lowers volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions by more than 25% while increasing scratch and mar resistance by 60% has reportedly been developed by DuPont Automotive, Detroit, Mich. The technology has earned the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Clean Air Excellence Award.
