X-ray-based computed microtomography studies structures. (Materials Science/R&D).

X-ray-based computed microtomography has been selected to examine micro-stuctures of materials in three dimensions by the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, Germany. Materials to be studied include metal foams and similar materials with structures containing pores, hollow cavities, and bridges. To visualize tomographic data on a monitor, researchers have developed a set of software programs in cooperation with Aquinto AG, Berlin.
