Polyurethane panels that are reaction injection-molded (RIM)for large exterior panels on Case farm combines have reportedly reduced panel weight by 25% compared with steel, reducing overall weight by 400 lb (180 kg). Molded by GI Plastek, Newburyport, Mass., the part won three awards at Structural Plastics 2003.
