This Laptop Desk, a portable platform for laptop computers, is made of a rigid polycarbonate substrate coated with a soft Tekbond thermoplastic elastomer from Teknor Apex, Pawtucket, R.I. Made by Lapworks Inc., Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., the platform is composed of polycarbonate for good strength and rigidity, while the over-molded elastomer grips the computer.
