An Armored Security Vehicle (ASV) that contains modular ceramic composite applique on the exterior and in the spall liner on the interior has been developed by Textron Systems Marine and Land Operations, New Orleans, La. The advanced armor defeats .50 caliber armor-piercing ammunition on the front, rear, and sides of the vehicle.
