As titanium cold hearth melting system design changes occur, they must happen with a greater emphasis on the evolving needs of fire end consumer rather than the evolving needs of the traditional integrated titanium producer. The hearth systems in use today are first generation hearth concepts that cater more to the upstream process needs of the integrated industry than they do to any particular consumer requirement (especially regarding alloyed titanium).
