Flat panel displays made of carbon nanotube thick films.(Surface Engineering)

Thick film materials containing carbon nanotubes have been licensed by Nanomix Inc., Emeryville, Calif., to DuPont Electronic Technologies, Wilmington, Del. The carbon nanotube thick film emitter materials will be used to make flat panel field emission displays. Together, the Nanomix carbon nanotube technology and DuPont thick film technology will improve emission efficiency of the emitter material.

"This agreement allows us to leverage unique technologies that enable the production of more affordable flat panel televisions with big screens and CRT-like image quality," says DuPont's David B.
