The market for long coils of super duplex stainless steel (SDSS) tubing in the oil and gas industry is approximately $100 million annually. It is often selected for service in chloride-containing corrosive environments because of its excellent resistance to pitting and stress-corrosion cracking, and its superb mechanical properties.
