Acoustic holography pinpoints source of noise in products.(Testing/Analysis)
Advanced Materials & Processes, May, 2004
An acoustic holography technology that creates a three-dimensional image of sound in time and space, enabling engineers to pinpoint the exact source of noise in a part, has been licensed by SenSound LLC, Detroit, Mich., from Wayne State University, also in Detroit. The system is an effective tool for vibro-acoustic diagnostics on non-planar and irregular surfaces.
