A modular high-performance magnesium anode weighing 5000 kg (11,000 lb) has been developed by Magnesium Elektron, England, to protect marine structures and pipelines from seawater corrosion. The world's largest magnesium anode, it was developed in association with Cumberland Cathodic Protection, England.
