A rapid prototyping electron beam melting (EBM) machine capable of fabricating fully functional three-dimensional metal parts of virtually any geometric shape within hours of their design has been installed at North Carolina State University, Raleigh. The machine was designed and built by EOS GmbH, Munich, Germany.
