Several physical methods and evaluation tactics for nondestructive inspection of automotive powder metallurgy components were described in a paper presented at the 2004 SAE World Congress. Titled "The Application of Different NDT Processes for Automotive PM Components" (SAE paper 2004-01-0492), it was prepared by Ian Donaldson and Eberhard Ernst of GKN Sinter Metals, Germany.
