Last year in Anaheim, our objective was to create an amalgam between the traditional strengths of ASM--a basic understanding of materials and ways of studying them--and the challenges faced by the newer, exciting field of medical devices. The result: More than 400 attendees made our first event a resounding success, and set a high standard for this year's conference in St.
