Advanced nano-engineered magnesium oxide products designed to counteract a variety of chemical warfare agents and toxic industrial chemicals has been developed by NanoScale Materials Inc., Manhattan, Kansas. Called FAST-ACT (First Applied Sorbent Treatment Against Chemical Threats), it is nontoxic, noncorrosive, and nonflammable.
