Superior resistance to damage during automated contact insertion and board assembly is said to be provided by electrical connectors molded from new Zenite 6130LX liquid crystal polymer from DuPont Engineering Polymers, Wilmington, Del. In addition, parts have lower warpage for better part alignment and improved soldering yields.
