Improved welding processes designed for seam-welded pipes.(Welding/Joining)

Several advanced processes for the longitudinal welding of seam-welded steel pipes are under development in a European program called JOTSUP, the development of joining technologies for supermartensitic stain-less steel (SSS) line pipe. The goal of the project is to develop advanced welding technologies by using laser beam (LB), low vacuum electron beam (EB), and radial fricton welding techniques.
