A reel-to-reel liquid deposition process designed to be scalable to high-volume, low-cost manufacturing of high-temperature superconducting (HTS) wire has produced lengths of "record-breaking" second-generation (2G) ribbon, announces American Superconductor Corp. (AMSC), Westborough, Mass., with support from the National Institute of Standards and Technology Advanced Technology Program.
