Nonpolluting fuel cells run on hydrogen or methanol.(Materials Science/R & D)

Advanced Materials & Processes, July, 2004

Long-lasting, lightweight, portable, nonpolluting fuel cells with the capability to generate 5000 hours of power are to be developed by Northeastern University, Boston, Mass., Protonics Corp., and Integrated Fuel Cell Inc.. The cartridge is powered by clean hydrogen or methanol, so that when it is empty, it can be disposed of and replaced without ever needing a wall socket.
