Software package helps to select aluminum casting alloy.(Testing/Analysis)

A software package that helps the user to select the most appropriate alloy from a comprehensive database of aluminum die casting alloy chemistries and properties has been announced by the North American Die Casting Association, Rosemont, Ill. The alloys are covered by more than 300 worldwide standards. Called iSelect Al, the software has a module that predicts either the chemistry of an alloy based on properties, or properties based on chemistry.
