Keyhole gas tungsten arc welding joins high-cost metal parts.(Welding/Joining)

An automated keyhole gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) process for joining stainless steel, titanium, and other high-cost materials has reportedly been developed jointly by CSIRO Manufacturing Science & Technology and the Cooperative Research Centre for Materials Welding and Joining, both of Australia.
