A tough, corrosion-resistant, nanocarbide-strengthened monolithic stainless steel designed for sporting knives and other blade applications has been introduced by QuesTek Innovations, Evanston, Ill. Designated Ferrium M60S, it is part of a family of patented stainless steels containing carbide particles 0.003 microns in diameter.
