Weldable high-strength steel designed for hydraulic parts.(Metals)

A weldable steel with tensile strength of 650 MPa (94 ksi) has reportedly been developed for hydraulic applications by Ovako Steel, Hofors, Sweden. It has transverse Charpy impact toughness of 27 Joules at a temperature of -40[degrees]C (-40[degrees]F). The steel is the result of a precisely controlled steelmaking process that provides a high degree of cleanliness and reproducibility.
