Consortium to validate DRW welding technology.(Welding/Joining)

A consortium to validate its Deformation Resistance Welding (DRW) process has been formed to commercialize the technology by Delphi Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of Delphi Corp., Troy, Mich. In the DRW process, traditional welding equipment is operated "in a more creative way" through the heating and deformation of the mating surfaces, to join metal tubes to bulk metal, sheet, and other tubes.
