Amorphous zirconium retains microstructure up to 1600[degrees]F.(Metals)

Amorphous pure zirconium metal that retains its beneficial microstructure and properties at temperatures up to 870[degrees]C (1100[degrees]F) has been made by researchers at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, N.M. This is said to be the first time that an amorphous metal has been made of only one element.
